I see how your student thinks.

I am a visual thinker who has spent 40 years making abstract concepts concrete — color coding, metaphors, and patterns that students can hold onto. Math is an abstract language that needs anchors for most students. I provide those anchors.

I teach what AI can’t.

AI can explain a concept. It can’t notice if your student is tensed up, hold them accountable, or know when to push and when to back off. I am always reading “the room” and adjusting my approach as needed.

I advocate for kids who have been written off.

I work with neurodivergent students and kids who just need someone to actually listen to what makes learning hard. The relationship is real.

Life literacy, woven in.

I also teach how to handle the frustrations and discomforts that learning sometimes presents. These often lead to larger life skills we can talk about together. Conversations often get interesting!
